Speaking and workshops are standalone engagements we deliver on-site to people outside the leadership team: managers, departments, trade groups, and peer groups. The flagship is the Great Boss Workshop, a full day giving managers practical tools for leading people. No ongoing commitment required.

What happens in the room
The Great Boss Workshop
A full day for managers and supervisors who were promoted for being great at their old job and handed people with no training. Practical tools for delegating, giving feedback, and running a team meeting people do not dread.
Community and trade group talks
Talks for peer groups, associations, and business communities on the bottleneck problem, the founder’s ceiling, and what it takes to build a self-managing team.
Custom half-day workshops
When a company wants one tool taught well — meetings, accountability, or delegation — to a department rather than the leadership team.
Who should be in the room
Managers, supervisors, department leads, or a full staff — anyone below or beside the leadership team who needs the same language. Group sizes usually run from a dozen to a few hundred for talks.
How long it takes
The Great Boss Workshop is one full day. Talks run 45 to 90 minutes. Custom workshops are typically a half day, on-site at your office or venue.
What comes next

What is the Great Boss Workshop?
A full-day, on-site workshop for managers and supervisors covering the practical mechanics of leading people: delegating without hovering, giving clear feedback, and running effective team meetings. It is built for leaders promoted without management training.
Do we have to run on EOS to book a workshop or a talk?
No. Workshops and talks are standalone. Many rooms we speak to have never used EOS tools, and the content works on its own.
Will you travel outside Chicago for speaking?
Yes. We are based in Wilmette and most engagements are around Chicagoland, but we travel for workshops and conference talks.
